Jakkalswater is nestled in the foothills of the granite heads of the Kamiesberg, where quiver trees stand guard over the valley and Klipspringers roam freely.

Completely “off the grid” and environmentally friendly, Jakkalswater runs on sustainable energy. Our pure, refreshing water comes from a natural underground fountain, while solar panels provide power and gas geysers supply hot water.

Our accommodation includes 14 self-catering units, each equipped with linen, towels, and a fully stocked kitchen. These units can accommodate between 2 and 4 guests, with arrangements available for up to 6 guests if needed. In addition, we offer 6 spacious camping sites and 4 simple wooden Wendy houses, each with its own bathroom and essential amenities—perfect for the budget-conscious traveller.

Jakkalswater also boasts a stunning chapel, set against the dramatic granite mountains with breathtaking views across the Namaqua Valley—an idyllic setting for your dream wedding.

We also offer a spacious and sheltered reception area (“lapa”), fully equipped with braai facilities, bathrooms, and all essential amenities. This versatile event space is perfect for seminars, meetings, and large gatherings, and regularly hosts annual events for several well-known organisations.
